The Cholla looks as if it is welcoming you to its inhospitable (to humans) home. A friendlier looking cacti as I don't see the spikes. Although I'm not getting too close to find out...

Love this dessert shot. Reminds me of westerns I used to watch with the solitary cacti (although it was probably a different kind).

To my eyes, it looks like a tree full of critters - monkeys, snakes, etc.
